Our preschool program consists of educational and fun activities that enrich reading, writing, speaking, and problem-solving skills. We focus equipping your child with the skills they need to have a seamless transition into kindergarten. We understand that your child may speak a different language at home, which is why we have multi-lingual teachers to foster their communication abilities in English.
We also ensure that children learn practical skills and self-help skills such as cleaning up after themselves and putting on their shoes, to ensure that they feel independent and capable of carrying out daily tasks.
Our Montessori system has a proven track record of helping children with speech impediments, behavioural issues, and special needs.
We focus on the following skills:
We look after our students with the uttermost care and compassion, as we strive to create a positive and value-driven environment that is filled with laughter and smiles.
Practical life activities encompasses the tasks of day–to-day living experiences which allows the child to be independent and enhance focusing skills in home and school environment.
At Shirdi Sai School, children are exposed to a number of practical life activities in a purposeful way. Our classroom is equipped with practical life activities to help the child gain control in the co-ordination of his movement and adapt to his society.
Our kindergarten math program consists of step-by-step exercises that go from concrete lessons to abstract. Students are being introduced the quantity and number symbols.
Using beads and number cards, children learn to add and subtract in day-to-day life experiences.
Children are introduced to learn letter sounds of each letter and encouraged to build phonetic words at the beginning. Eventually, they start to read phonetic words associated with pictures and objects.
At Shirdi Sai School, language development is supported by ready to learn materials set by our staff which supports the child's expanding consciousness with care and attention.
At Shirdi Sai School, at the age of four, children are introduced to botany, zoology, geography and history.
Kindergarten children are given the opportunity to explore the physical world, different cultures, landforms, continents and the nature of plant and animal life styles.
Children at the age of 3.8 years are introduced to the French alphabet, numbers, colours, shapes, farm animals, wild animals, rhymes, and action songs.
Our Lower Elementary programming at Shirdi Sai School covers Grade 1 through 6 and blends traditional Montessori activities with enriched extensions of the Ontario regular curriculum to stimulate and excite every child.
